According to the Traditional Chinese Medicine, “qi” (=energy) is running through a network of channels in our body called “meridians”. By maintaining a balance of “qi”, we can keep ourselves physically and mentally healthy. In each class, we would focus on 2 to 3 meridian lines and stay in the specific asanas for 3-5 minutes to relax the deep tissues and to release negative emotions. We would also perform massage on some acupressure points. Learning how to “let go” and release unwanted tension of the body, you would leave feeling lighter, calm and mentally healed.
